Activities this week

Everyone is welcome at all Caer Gwyn activities. Feel free to bring a project to work on or just hang out.

Starting Oct. 13, everyone will need to show a current “access granted” status with the Safer Illinois application, proof of vaccination, or proof of a recent negative COVID-19 test to participate in any SCA activities.

Rapier Practice – Tuesdays, 6:30-8:00pm

  • Novices welcome! Loaner equipment will be provided for newcomers. Please bring your own water (we are not allowed to share).

A&S Night – Thursday, December 2, 6:30-8:00pmIllini Union 404 (1401 W Green St, Urbana, IL)

  • EU Day of Art: Artemis Danza Presents “Dante Solo Inferno”
  • The Italian modern dance company Artemis Danza is coming to Urbana to perform “Dante Solo Inferno” on Thursday, Dec. 2 at 7pm as part of a world tour. “Dante Solo Inferno” is a reinterpretation of select passages from the Divine Comedy, in commemoration of the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri. The performance is free and open to all. Archery Practice – Sunday, December 5, 3:00-5:00pm
Stock Pavilion (1402 W Pennsylvania Ave, Urbana, IL)

  • Archers of any experience level (including first timers) welcome! 45-pound draw weight maximum for bows. Loaner equipment will be available for those who have none. Please bring your own water (we are not allowed to share).

Caer Gwyn Business Meeting – Sunday, December 5, 5:00pm (directly after archery practice)
Stock Pavilion (1402 W Pennsylvania Ave, Urbana, IL)

  • Stop by after archery practice to see what the Shire of Caer Gwyn is up to. This is a joint business meeting for both the RSO and the community group.
